What You'll Need

Training Tools

Blanket with Crevices
Used in Week 1, food hidden in folds encourages sniffing and decompression.
High Value Training Food
Boiled chicken or string cheese (pea-sized) also works well.
Six Foot Leash
Use a light leash, avoid bulky handles. Remove baggie holders from the end.
Harness
Wonder Walker is great for walks, but for Recall use the back clip only. Any well-fitted harness works.
Two Equal-Value Toys
Used in Week 2. Two squeaky tennis balls or two chuck-it balls. Avoid squeaky toys for dogs that become nervous or over-stimulated by squeaking.
Long Line: 15 ft
Used in Weeks 3–6. Use a thin, lightweight line (3/8 inch). Avoid longer lines, they tangle easily and present safety risks.
Small Cardboard Boxes
Used for recall games and scenting in Week 4. A broomstick handle can be added across two boxes for hurdles in Week 6.
