Coffee is a Beagle pup.  Beagles were bred to spend days out in the field, engaged in a hunt, which means they have high prey drive.  They have a lot of energy that they need to spend running, chasing, sniffing, and exploring.  When untrained they may seem easily distracted, but  this drive can effectively facilitate the learning process.  In the same way that we work for a good salary and benefits, a dog high in prey drive will work hard for playtime and yummy treats.

Penny is a purebred pit bull puppy, and as sweet as they come.  Pit bulls usually develop very close relationships with their human pack members, because of their desire to please and conform to pack rules.  Penny is no exception.  Penny is a quick learner, with a good heart, and an adoring family.

Gus is a puglet, a pug pup.  Multum in parvo "much in little" describes pugs big personality, in a little package.  Gus' calm, thoughtful nature makes him a pleasure in training, and his snorkels provide for much entertainment and insuppressible smiles.

Wallace is a Scottish terrier.  His confidence and bravado offers much for comparison to his Scottish namesake - William Wallace.  Terriers were bred for their independent natures, and incomparable work ethic.  Terriers thrive on rules, structure and a proper understanding of their job description.

At five pounds Lola has unlimited energy and a big personality.  Lola's training focused on attention, and impulse control through fun interactive games.  Lola is an eager student who learns quickly. Watching her spunky, playtime antics is enough to remind anyone that we all need to spend a little more time enjoying the moment.

Zoe knows how to charm her way to anyone's heart.  She is a Ruby Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  Zoe is playful, affectionate, and an active learner.  She was quick to understand obedience commands, and made her mom and dad proud when she began ringing a bell to ask to be let outside.

Evelyn is a Cairn Terriers - one of the oldest terrier breeds.  The word terrier comes from "terra" meaning "earth."  Their job was to go to ground after small prey.  Their bold, confident natures often gets them into trouble as they're generally unwilling to back down when they feel challenged.  Evelyn exemplifies the breed; small in stature, but has the heart of a lion.

Sundance is a Catahoula mix.  Some believe that Catahoula's originate from "war dogs" brought to Louisiana in the 16th century, that were left to breed with domestic dogs.  They are known for having exceptional tracking and hunting abilities, but they also make wonderful family dogs.  As Sundance has so aptly proven, Catahoulas are natural guardians.

Brady and Scrappy are Havanese/Poodle mixes.  These two brothers are the epitome of pep and exuberance.  Left to their own devices they are prepared to defend their home from all intruders: wily squirrels or raucous garbage trucks.  With training they are learning to focus their energy, and have become enthusiastic students.
